MakerLink is a platform that helps creators monetize their web projects with zero friction. We believe that if you build something people use, you should be able to earn from it — without spending hours integrating ad networks, configuring consent banners, or setting up hosting.
Every day, thousands of developers build games, creative experiments, and side projects. Most of these never earn a cent because monetization is complicated. You need an ad network account, you need to integrate their SDK, you need GDPR compliance, and you need hosting. That's hours of work for something that might earn a few dollars a month.
MakerLink reduces all of that to a single command. Run npx makerlink deploy in your project directory and we handle everything: we detect your project structure, wrap it with non-intrusive ads, deploy it to a fast CDN, and give you a permanent URL. When visitors see ads on your project, you earn revenue.
We use an iframe-based wrapper that keeps your project completely isolated from the ad code. Your project runs exactly as you built it — we just add a lightweight shell around it that handles ad serving, consent management, and analytics. This means any web project works: HTML5 games, React apps, creative coding experiments, portfolios, and more.
MakerLink operates on a revenue-sharing model. We serve ads through Google's ad technology and share the revenue with creators. There is no cost to use MakerLink — we only earn when your project earns. This aligns our incentives: we want your project to succeed because that's how we succeed too.
MakerLink is built by an independent developer who believes the web should reward creators. We're based in Australia and are committed to building tools that make the creative web more sustainable.
